Espresso Vivace
Our motto at Espresso Vivace is "una bella tazza di caffe." In Italian this means a beautiful cup of coffee, and it means a great deal
to us at Vivace. "Espresso Vivace" translates loosely as great enthusiasm, and excitement about the new world coffee: caffe espresso.
Vivace is a partnership developed in 1988 by David Schomer and Geneva Sullivan. Vivace has created an espresso preparation method based on precise scientific methodology, but inspired by the beauty in the coffee itself. The goal
of the company is to research, develop, and promote caffe espresso as a culinary art.
After fifteen years of research on all aspects of espresso preparation, a specialized method and roasting process has been developed at Vivace in the singular
pursuit of perfect espresso. Our Northern Italian inspired espresso blends are considered by many experts to posses the sweetest flavor and most abundant crema of any coffee out there. (see

Our research has also led to a book Espresso Coffee: Professional Techniques and two videos Caffe
Latte Art and Techniques of the Barista. This training material is authored by David Schomer, and is distributed world wide to dedicated
baristas, coffee roasters and espresso bar owners.
